Ben Smith

Ben Smith serves as one of our amazing chefs here at The Old Gin. He joined the TOG Team in early fall of 2023. Ben started working in kitchens at 15 years old and has held every position in back-of-house from dishwasher to chef. 

Originally from Washington State, Ben moved to Wortham, Texas last September and began working at The Gin. He has enjoyed getting accustomed to Texas living. His favorite style of cooking is Pan Asian. Ben's favorite menu item to cook at The Old Gin is the classic filet. His favorite current menu item to eat is the barnyard burger.
